Flower Materials
- Cornstarch (Corn flour in UK) – in a small glass jar or bowl
- Cornmeal course grind or semolina extra course – in a small glass jar or bowl
- Edible petal dust – green, yellow, and your favorite floral colors
- Edible glue
- Floral tape green – crepe paper tape (not plastic)
- Floral wire – 20 gauge for stem, and 26 gauge for petals and leaves
- Foam clay (I’m using foam clay, non-edible), or gum paste / fondant (edible)
- Food grade gel colors or airbrush gel – green, yellow, ivory and your favorite floral colors (I use AmeriColor)
- High proof alcohol to paint (Vodka) – and required for high humidity climates
- Vegetable glycerin (food grade) – for flower conditioner
- Wafer paper – 1 package, thickness: .22 mm or .27 mm (ingredients: potato starch, water, oil - I use Saracino)
- Wafer paper glue (mix of scrap wafer paper pieces with hot water)
- Water (Distilled is best)

- Drezden tool - for flower shaping and veining
- Fine mist small spray bottle
- Flower foam pad
- Humidity meter – *important tool to gauge your indoor humidity level
- Large, round make-up brush
- Mixing bowls
- Needle nose pliers – to shape stem floral wire
- Paint palette
- Peony petal veiner (mold for petal texture)
- Petal former to shape petals (sphere-shaped silicone molds, plastic egg mold, foam egg crate, or plastic spoons)
- Scissors – sharp
- Silicone mat – to protect your workspace
- Small squeeze bottle – for flower conditioner
- Styrofoam scraps or floral foam - holder for your stems
- Thick watercolor paintbrushes – various sizes
